After retiring from a twenty five year career in the European fashion and hospitality industries, Dutch born and New Zealand raised and educated Robbert de Jongh, decided that it was time to share with others his piece of Nelson’s paradise. Robbert loves gardening and is the creator and curator of Retiro Park Lodge’s beautiful garden, he also takes care of all of the property’s animals. Your other host, Spanish winemaker Victor Flores, has good local wine knowledge after more than five years of New Zealand winemaking experience in Marlborough and Nelson
We provide guests with a delicious breakfast using the superior New Zealand produce. Room facilities include Use of swimming pool, deck, private garden, en suite with shower, queen size bed with the superior linen, ample sitting area with sofa and chair, mini fridge and coffee making facilities, writing desk, LCD flat screen TV DVD player, iPod dock charger, free lofty speed Wii internet, toiletries, fresh flowers and complimentary bottle of wine and chocolates.
