What you should know about Glovers Vineyard
From time to time a secondary label cerise is produced, usually from bought in Nelson fruit. 199 vintage Hasty indications suggest a very appropriate year,high alcohol but not overripe characters, good tannin and excellent Minot fruit characters. The Back Block has weathered it reasonably healthy although it did not attain the tannin levels of other years. 1995 Fore Block A vintage from hell says David, one of the scanty years in Moutere to have rain over vintage.
1992 vintage Another nippy year but a very appropriate wine to drink now or in many years time. 1991 vintage A very big year for maximum parts of Fresh Zealand and some very appropriate Cabernet, some of which are still drinking well, many are not. 1990 vintage Another good year for much of Fresh Zealand and certainly good here. What is the best Drink time is diverse to diverse people but the Back Block usually takes almost double the time of the Front Block. Already one can see the potential elegance and with the right food is huge drinking.
The 91 Moutere is a very large wine, very intense, tannin and nowhere close peaking it probably has another decade or so to go
