As a self employed architectural designer I have been in business in Nelson for 30 years. I have also undertaken design work for many commercial and industrial buildings, including retail office buildings, education buildings and church and community facilities. The biggest challenge is to give the client what they want within their budget expectations. I am able to produce 3D pictures of the building as it will look in its surroundings.
With the changes in legislation I keep up to date by attending seminars run by the industry and also ADNZ. I have been a member since 1988 and was given Life Membership of ADNZ in 2008. I have been a national president and local branch president as well as serving on the national executive. Having been involved in many past homes for both ourselves and clients we initially sought a design from one of the many group housing companies.
Our brief was simple requiring a spacious living area, three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a large double garage. David's prompt attention to on site requirements and his easy manner with the local authority has resulted in a home we are delighted with and as a visitor remarked you have a lovely home that would have a ready market if you decided to sell . We would like to express our thanks and gratitude to you for the exceptional design you created to do the major 'make over' for our originally modest home. And all the external changes including the roof has finished it off to the point where we now have a totally new home. We are also able to now enjoy both either the two new decks which have allowed amazing indoor outdoor living according to the weather on the day!

Practical, spacious living areas and three double bedrooms within a complete floor area of 137 m2. Regency Homes is a range of standardized house plans which were carefully designed for those wanting a below cost quality home design service.
The kitchen and dining family room has a spacious open plan feel and includes patio doors accessing an outdoor terrace area. Total with exposed beam ceilings in the kitchen, dining, entry and lounge areas, corner window to lounge and to complete the home a conservatory off the family dining room for your relaxation.

Suiting a temperate sized section to the north east of the street, the defining concept in designing this floor plan was to offer convenient direct access to living areas from both the fore entrance and garage, while maintaining excellent outlook and sun to all rooms except service rooms. Other projects of a smaller scale have included The refurbishment of the old Nelson City Council building after to the 1903 site at the top of Trafalgar Street. A delightful three bedroom medium sized home suiting sections with a south to west proximity to the street, this design has excellent street appeal with its striking architecturally styled roof lines whole with pergola and chimney feature.
The Master Bedroom has access directly to the outdoor terrace and is provided with its own en suite while access is also available off the hall allowing it to be worn as a full second Bathroom
