What you should know about Chocolate Velvet Ltd
Kim is back after a 3 year break to take up a full time role in our shop, looking after our customers and their needs. Along with Kim she assists our customers and has a great rapport with all our regular shoppers. Since 2004 we have been creating fabulous wedding cakes and birthday cakes for our customers in the Nelson area. In addition, we also make other celebration cakes, such as corporate cakes and anniversary cakes.
Looking for a dessert? We make a great range of cheesecakes, tarts and pies. We have a reputation for top of the range products along with friendly professional service. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Phil Lash and Chocolate Velvet for all the support and encouragement they have given to the Kiwi Family Trust over the last 6 years. The help that we have received has meant that we can bring life skills and communication courses to a wide range of Kiwi families, youth, children and individuals nationwide.
Because of the generosity of Chocolate Velvet’s support has also meant that we have been able to take more underprivileged children away on camp. Our heartfelt thanks Phil, and Chocolate Velvet, without people and organisations like you, we wouldn’t be able to continue with the work we do. Within 6 months of starting we began wholesaling our cakes to cafes and restaurants, and developed a range of desserts. We quickly earned a reputation for quality along with a commitment to ensure customer satisfaction. We originally operated from a commercial kitchen situated on private property.
Within 2 years we had well and truly outgrown these premises, and it took us over a year to find suitable premises to move to. Along with our fantastic cakes, we also make truffles, slices, cheesecakes, muffins, and a wide range of ready to go food for our shop. On the 13th June 2009 Phil had a serious motor bike accident that resulted in him having to change his focus away from working in the bakery producing products, to working on all the other aspects of running a business. Since 2004 we have been creating fabulous wedding cakes and birthday cakes for our customers in the Nelson area. We have a reputation for top of the range products along with friendly professional service.
Your guests don’t have to be outside we’ll customise a meal to suit your requirements, and can provide a full service including clean up afterwards so you can relax and enjoy spending time with your guests. Just wanted to say a huge thank you to all involved in making my beautiful wedding cake
