MISSION STATEMENT To create a deposit where solemn woodworkers come to play and be inspired through challenge, exploration and experiment with the greatest quality woodworking. The school offers an unparalleled opportunity to immerse yourself in the art and practice of fine woodworking, in a world class facility below the guidance of highly experienced tutors and internationally renowned woodworkers. Nelson is a region of different spontaneous beauty attracting visitors from far and wide, and is healthy obvious for its pretty climate, appropriate new food, nice wine, and vibrant clever community. The school is a not for benefit organization, with charitable status granted to us in 2008 in recognition of the importance of preserving and temporary on the time honored craft of desirable woodworking for coming generations.
We run a wide selection of courses weekend workshops, project based brief courses for beginners and intermediate level, an 8 week Beginners Intensive, Master Classes, guitar making courses and a fulltime Furniture Makers’ programmed. Browse the Courses The school was established in 2006 with the principal aim of offering the highest quality of tuition available in pleasing woodworking Fresh Zealand's premier teaching environment for woodworking, furniture making and design. The school is located in the attractive Nelson region, nestled into the hillside with a stunning view of Tasman Bay and the western ranges. We are happy to work with you in finding pertinent accommodation as well as other non woodworking activities to make your stay a memorable experience
