Aimex Service Group is in the business of Applied Industrial Mechanical Excellence for marine and land based operations throughout New Zealand. To engineer excellence Aimex Service Group has eight specialist teams supported by large workshop facilities right in the hub of the industrious Port of Nelson.
The owners are the managers of the business and they are not only passionate about their business but have over 100 years engineering experience in complementary engineering disciplines between them. For your ship repair refit and survey works Aimex Service Group has strong local networks on the Port of Nelson with companies providing Electrical Engineers, Electronic Supplies, Marine Paint Supplies and Services, and Slipway Services. There is access to deep water berthage, 2500 ton slipway, and a recreational marina. Nelson contends annually for the sunniest city in New Zealand, with a warm sunny climate throughout the year, minimising delays caused by adverse weather conditions.
We also offer an emergency diagnostic service where our engineers can be with you within a short notice to assist with emergency repairs. Our philosophy is it’s all about people, looking after customers and investing in these relationships, developing an ability to work together to understand and deliver on the engineering issues specific to each customer and vessel. From the time we start working with you, we develop a detailed library of your engineering issues, so that overtime we create a full history of your vessel, engine or parts.
